The infusers are handcrafted in 2 parts and permanently attached. The holes in the basket are designed for full leaf teas and herbals. We do not recommend for rooibos teas. Wash by hand with water. They are designed for a teapot or mug.  Dimensions are approximately 2.125 inches high, 2.5 inches wide at the bottom base, 4.75 inches from flange to flange - measure your teapot to make sure it will fit inside and has room on top to rest without falling into the teapot. 
 
Due to the nature of the hand crafted design, each infuser is unique and will have imperfections that are characteristic of the construction.
