The grain adds a rustic look to your kitchen. Acacia is mold and insect resistant. Better on your knives. An acacia cutting board needs to be cleaned with vinegar and water and occasionally seasoned with a food grade oil- let it dry after oiling for 12 hours or overnight before using. To clean after use, run under running water then wipe with a half and half vinegar and water solution. This will kill the bacteria. Dont submerge in a sink.
